Terms of service
Last updated October 9, 2026.
The service
webfetch.io fetches a URL you name and returns what the server at that URL sends back, optionally rendered in a browser and optionally transformed. It is operated by Tuxxin LLC.
Your responsibility for what you fetch
You choose the targets. You are responsible for having the right to fetch them and for what you do with the result, including any copyright, contract, or data protection obligation that attaches to it. The acceptable use policy is part of these terms.
Credits and billing
- Usage is metered in credits. Only successful requests are charged.
- Plans are billed monthly in advance through PayPal.
- A paid plan's monthly credits do not roll over between months. A free account's balance carries over, up to 1,000 credits.
- Upgrading from a free account, while signed in to your key portal or with the same email address, keeps your API key. The free credit balance does not transfer to a paid plan; one-time bonus credits stay with the key.
- Cancel any time from PayPal. Access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, then the account returns to the free tier (1,000 credits, then 250 a month, up to 1,000). We do not prorate a partial month.
- If a payment fails and PayPal pauses your subscription, your plan keeps working for 72 hours and we email you each day. If PayPal has not reactivated the subscription by then, the account returns to the free tier and the plan's locked price is released.
- Price lock: the monthly price you subscribe at stays the same for as long as the subscription stays active. A change to our public prices applies to new subscriptions only. The lock ends when a canceled subscription reaches the end of its paid period, or when a failed payment is not fixed within the 72 hours above. Subscribing again after that uses the price current at that time.
Data we keep
We keep a record of each request (the URL, its host, the outcome and the IP address it came from) for up to 45 days, then delete it. We do not keep the content of the pages you fetch, except a screenshot you ask for, which is kept for 30 days so you can download it. The privacy page has the full list.
Availability
The service is provided as it is, with no uptime guarantee on the self-serve plans. We may rate limit, suspend or refuse a request to protect the service, a target, or the network we run on.
Suspension
A breach of the acceptable use policy suspends the key, and a serious or repeated breach ends the account without a refund.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost data.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be announced by email to subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect.
